2026 China (Yuncheng) Conference on High Quality Development of Stomatology & China Dental City Equipment Exhibition

The World Stomatological Organization (WSO) was greatly honoured to participate in the:

“ 2026 China (Yuncheng) Conference on HighQuality Development of Stomatology & China Dental City Equipment Exhibition”held in Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, China.

The conference gathered:

government leaders,

dental specialists,

university scholars,

healthcare institutions,

industry representatives,

AI and digital technology companies,

and oral healthcare stakeholders from China and internationally,

to discuss the future direction of China ’s oral healthcare industry and opportunities for international collaboration.

The event demonstrated Yuncheng’s ambitious vision of developing “China Dental City ” and promoting an integrated ecosystem combining:

healthcare,

education,

technology,

AI and digitalization,manufacturing,

public health,

and cultural-tourism integration.

The conference was jointly organized and strongly supported by:

China Dental City and Yuncheng Vocational Nursing College both of which played important roles in promoting:

the upgrading of China’ s oral healthcare industry,

oral healthcare education and training,

international exchange and cooperation,

AI and digital dentistry development,

as well as public health and preventive oral health care initiatives.

The “China Dental City” initiative reflects Yuncheng’s strategic vision of developing a national oral healthcare industrial ecosystem and international collaboration platform, while Yuncheng Vocational Nursing College has played an important role in talent development, vocational education, public health, and international academic exchange.

WSO expresses its sincere appreciation to both organizations for their warm hospitality, thoughtful arrangements, and strong support toward international academic and professional collaboration during the conference.

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony was graced by distinguished le

leaders from Yuncheng and Yanhu District authorities,

representatives from healthcare and education sectors,

and industry stakeholders.

Their presence reflected the strong governmental commitment toward the “China Dental City” initiative and the highquality development of the oral healthcare industry.

WSO was warmly welcomed as an important international academic and professional organization.

WSO International Delegation

The WSO delegation included:Adjunct Professor Dato’ Dr How Kim Chuan President, World Stomatological Organization (WSO) Professor Dr Bedros Yavru Sakuk Vice President, World Stomatological Organization (WSO) Dr Lim Yi Theng Treasurer, World Stomatological Organization (WSO) as well as:

Secretary-General Zhang Hengjun who coordinated and facilitated the WSO Yuncheng exchange and collaboration activities.

The delegation actively participated in:academic exchanges,international collaboration discussions,industry forums,AI and digital dentistry dialogues,and education and certification discussions.

Academic Lectures and Scientific Exchange During the conference, Adjunct Professor Dato’ Dr How Kim Chuan delivered keynote academic lecturescovering:

digital dentistry,

AI and CBCT integration,

3D Smile Design,

orthodontics and interdisciplinary treatment,

global trends in oral healthcare,

and the future of smart oral healthcare ecosystems.

The lectures received strong engagement and positive responses from participants, clinicians, students, and industry representatives.

Professor Dr Bedros Yavru Sakuk also actively contributed to international academic discussions and exchange.

China Dental City Strategic Vision

One of the conference highlights was the presentation by Director Lei Yunfeng regarding the strategic vision and future planning of “China Dental City”.

The initiative aims to establish an integrated oral healthcare ecosystem combining:

oral healthcare,

AI and digital technology,

education and vocational training,

professional certification,

medical devices,

denture R&D and manufacturing,

international exhibitions and trade,

public health prevention,

cultural-tourism integration,

and international cooperation.

Particularly significant were the historical references that:

in 1985, a national dental disease prevention meeting was held in Yuncheng,

in 1986, WHO promoted the “Yuncheng Experience,”

and in 1988, WHOrelated Western Pacific regional activities were conducted in Yuncheng.

These historical milestones demonstrate Yuncheng ’s longstanding foundation in preventive oral healthcare and public health development.

Potential Future Collaboration with WSO During the conference, WSO held positive discussions with local authorities and institutions regarding possible future collaboration in areas including:

1. International Academic Cooperation international forums,academic exchange,overseas expert collaboration,continuing professional education platforms.
